Architects Rodeo

That was an excellent movie and true to the overall quality of the Bourne series. On the edge of my seat, but too too much popcorn!

So how did my big architecture meeting go today? Well the only way I can describe it is that its a bit like being at a rodeo - I'm the one with th lasso and all the others need roping in. Quite exhausting especially when you have to synthesize a coherent design out of all the discourse.

As a software architect, I sit in between the people at the Enterprise level (they state policies like all building have to have 10 doors regardless of the number of rooms) and the Business (they just want their paper system on the internet, no security or anything else to worry about). So its a bit like brokering a sensible solution. More on the perils and joys of being a "go between" architect another day.

At least everyone there had some creative thoughts and I always like to end the day on a positive thought. Now where did I hide that bottle of gin?!
